Artists' Film and Video Association is founded in 2008 by Yael Bartana, Guy Ben-Ner, Koken Ergun, Laura Horelli, Norman Richter, Hito Steyerl, Maya Schweizer and Clemens von Wedemeyer.
The aim of the Artists' Film and Video Association is to create a platform for discussions, to distribute films, and to highlight the processes and contexts from which the films have evolved. We attempt to do this by making videos, documents, and other material accessible for the public. We are interested in works, which document, analyze, or attempt to change conditions in society.
